Yeah, I made Ford Island a mud flat since basically it is covered by buildings and asphalt and etc. and not really a place that has grass. I just can't load it down with buildings without causing possible issues. Glad you enjoyed the planes placed by the hangars on the island.

As for the tree shadows being jittery and the fleets that is interesting but not sure what I can do about that since basically everything else on the terrain was the normal default stuff and I didn't do anything special outside of building some custom fleet types instead of the 1 CV, 1 CA, and 4 DD configuration.

What do you think is causing the tree shadows to jitter like that?  That's something new I've never seen.

Truthfully, I am not sure. They only thing I can think of is maybe it is a mix of terrain types. You can paint an area in the terrain editor with 50% of one terrain type and 50% of another. I was going to to go and change things to grass terrain around Pearl Harbor and the nearby bases anyways since I know at low altitude trees do impact Frame Rates. And the attack on Pearl would have a lot of people on the deck.

So maybe that will resolve things.

The issue with the fleets have me puzzled as I said. I have also hear reports of them seeming to float above the water when viewed from a distance. The current fleets in the terrain are a hold over from them the AH2 version of the terrain when we hand build the fleets by placing ships individually and then grouping them together. I wondering if something strange is going on there so I might yank them out and just put in the standard fleet groups to see if that resolves the report visually anomalies.

Always something to tweak isn't there? :D I was going to suggest adding grass, since Hawaii does have a fair amount of it. All in all, a nice effort!  :aok

It may have been the fog setting causing the floating fleet and land. I think I noticed it was set at a further distant out, as typical of testing rather then for a live terrain. I did not check the settings when I was in the arena. Kicking up the distances above the default is sop for me when first loading a terrain.
