"Sled Driver" by Brian Shul = must have Sr71 reading.  He was an avid photography nut too, and took SO many great shots of the SR71 which he has published as well.  There are even more YT videos with lots of his stories too, great story telling about the SR71 missions, particularly vs Russian missiles and interceptors, fascinating stuff.

My favorite was when they were tasked with heading toward the Soviets to get intel on the new missile systems they'd deployed but the US didn't know anything about, and when he asked, "Er... what if they happen to call our bluff and launch one of these missiles that we know nothing about?"  "Great!  We'll get launch data too!"

How guys with brass ones like that walk is beyond me.
