Planes plus the skill and experience to use them competently. You omitted to acknowledge this part. Look at the P-38 up there (for instance). Do you think an inexperienced or unknowlegeable player could achieve that? Even the vaunted Spixteen does not have an auto-combat button. You're arguing that they should be restricted because they make good sticks more effective, that's a lesser facet. And we as a community already have that covered by derision and insult.
Perk my Ki-84 and I'd quit immediately because I have a years-long symbiotic relationship with that virtual machine. Why would I spend hours of my leisure time flying some early war bag of junk to gather perk points to fly my main reason for playing AH in the first place. Before ragging on my ride, do you even know, for instance, how I fly it in the MA? What I do with it? No. Because your thinking is replete with unsubstantiated assumptions and omissions.
You know Nugetx, perhaps you've got this all cart before horse. Instead of trying to change AH to conform to 'everything else' why don't you take some time to try to understand what it is and why - almost uniquely - it has lasted for sooooo long.
