It's the people like Jayro you got to worry about...the receiving end of his higher then everyone F4U is going to be hard for these new guys because hogs are easy....

Put yourself in more risk now for a greater reward later...that reward being 200-300 more folks in the MA consistently at any given time.

People will come and go, how Jayro or anyone else chose to play makes no real difference, the game will grow or die on it's own merits.

I have a question, when you meet a enemy plane in the air-fighters or bombers, how do you know they are new? you don't until they are shot down.
I'm all for new players coming in and I help as much as possible, but am I going to feel bad, no. unless I shoot down them down over and over. now saying that, I shot down 1 guy 4 times in 2 days, did feel bad, but then yesterday he changed to Knights, found out he was a returning player from 10 yrs ago-I didn't feel so bad anymore, he was just rusty.

so how do you know who is new?

well if youre at 5k and they are climbing straight to you they are new
if they climb straight in front of you they are new
those are a couple examples, I can kinda tell by there flying if they are new.  and I agree its hard to not shoot them down, but maybe a few passes to help there awareness if possible, maybe holler at the other country on 200 and say hey player XXXXXX might need a few pointers or a wing man.  like I said most guys seem to be doing a good job at helping new guys and direct them.

You can believe that all you want but a 2 weeker get smacked over and over by the same person he can't even climb to is going to effect if he sticks with the game....

I look at the roster prior to take off and I watch the feed at the bottom pretty closely....so I have a good idea who I'm about to fight a lot of the time and can tell their name almost instantly....

A lot of people's flying styles are noticeable too....I see an F4U above everyone picking I know 3-5 names of who it's going to be.

Joining a squad is what got me hooked.......as a noobie, a squad took me in an taught me the ropes...(thank you JG-77).....made a huge difference......I still got slaughtered regularly(still do).....but there were other people to share the game pain and put me on the right learning path........I'm still here 7 years later......I think if more of that happens, they will stay too.... :old:

My friend I respectfully can not believe you. I have been cleaning cephalopod slime off my windscreen for too many years to accept that answer lol.

I propose a moratorium on runway vulching!  :old:

These guy are coming in with a lot of questions. I spent a few hours helping some guys out tonight and I suggest others do the same. They seemed to love the game and if they are going to stay they need to be welcomed to the community.

But... I thought the proper customary procedure was like this:

1. Take advantage of their presence and slaughter them as quick and often as you can. Follow them to other bases, if necessary. Run away or bail outside proxy range if there's actually danger of getting killed.
2. Add insult to injury. PM them (even better: private vox!) and tell them how much they suck, that this is no place for them. Feel free to speculate about their sexual identity & preference and don't forget to extend that to their family as well.
3. CH200 and country channel are meant for politics. Make it clear you are a man with an OPINION, and everybody needs to hear it. Newcomers should be impressed by your manly way to express yourself. Also, tell everyone of them how much this 'rigged game' sucks, literally unplayable. You should know, you spent thousands of hours here!
4. Every salute should be met with utter contempt.

5. Wonder why the numbers are so low these days. Must be that damn Millennials fault!

 :bolt:
That seems so true. Imagine user penguinz0 on youtube reading this text with his voice while all of this is happening on background.  :lol

When I rejoined  the game recently under a new game tag I was called a "STEAMing P O O P" in a pm before AH was even available through Steam and that was because I shot down a low B-26 formation and did two sorties to accomplish that.
