yes, it would be great to not have the ranks so easily gamed

But sir, that's exactly what you are doing by never flying in supplies or troops in comparison to the guys that are.  The scoreing system does not need to be changed if everyone is on a level playing field.  Once again, if you and another guy are battling it out for #1 bomber then you are going to have to beat him at the same game and the same scoring system.
Wag more, bark less.

Thats why this request is here, I don't want to beat a guy because he ran more supplies than me.  Everyone isn't on a level playing field because those that do support missions are punished.  I imagine the intent of the ranks wasn't for the top guys to not help others because it could hurt their ranking.

Only thing I think could be added to score is adding more kill points toward certain ranked players...then it would actually get competitive for score.

Id rather see EW MW LW score categories where people can be highlighted for doing well with more challenging plane sets. Or you could break it down by ENY 0-10 11-20 21-40

you call 3.75 perks too many,  are you kidding me? and it gets less as the building or guns come up.

^

As an isolated number, it seems little.
But it really is about perks/time. Resupplying towns/factories ranks very high here. When a M3 resupp run takes you 6 minutes, it's suddenly 37.5 perks per hour. This is almost impossible to earn sustained in combat. The ordinary player would need many of hours in combat to get the same perks as he does for one hour of resupping.

Don't know if it was mentioned yet, but I would add field captures to the supply scoring category and remove them from bomber/vehicle categories.

Currently taking vehicles or c47 to supply bases and strats hurts your score.  Performing this crucial function should not hurt your chances of competing for top scores.

This is just a guess, I could be wrong.  But I am guessing that those who run supps don't usually care about score, only about helping their team.

If only there was an almighty AI that could compute a score based on contribution to one's country.

You'd probably be right, which is more reason this request should happen.  Those who care about helping their team should not have their ranks degraded.  And those that care about score would then be able to still help their team.

I am not one who plays for score alone. I will never be 1# but it would be nice when i run supplies my excising score would be harmed by it.

So +1
