893 NAS Martlet
« on: August 27, 2017, 04:22:27 AM »
Thanks to Lyric1 for finding me the info for this skin.

This Martlet Mk IV was part of 893 Naval Air Squadron based on the fleet carrier HMS Formidable in the Mediterranean in late 1942. The Mk IV was similar to the USN's F4F-4 except for using a Wright R-1820 engine rather than a P&W R-1830.

Another one well done!
The update of the Wildcats has peeked my interest. I started reading up on them. I was surprised of their use and where. Guadalcanal, Wake island, the early naval battles, Norway, North Africa, southern France off the coast of Italy. Not bad.

Impressive! Very Nice! <S>
There must also be a flyable computer available for Nefarious to do FSO. So he doesn't keep talking about it for eight and a half hours on Friday night!

Wow, a great-looking skin and a picture-perfect portrait.  The F4F is a beautiful aircraft.

Looks to me like the specularity of the grey-green camouflage is spot on.  The level of sheen looks perfect to me.

Also kudos to HTC on the 3D model.  The tire and wheel look so real I feel like I can reach out and touch them.
