Why did Dolby get a ban?

Dolby is my friend. Sad to see it come to this, but I understand why it did.

For repeatedly refusing too follow rules on the bbs,being banned and let back in multiple times on this bbs and still refusing to follow the rules,  followed by a deliberate attempt to damage HTC during a new launch on steam in both a review and on the steam bbs. Why would any player who wrote a "Review" like that ever wish to play AH? And why would we wish to do business with any one who goes out of there way to do a deliberate attack on HTC?

Nowhere did he write a review. He simply tried to disparage HTC.
Some how it seems to be an elusive concept to many people, that if you go into any business and intentionally be disruptive, you will be asked, then told to leave.

I have no desire to criticize Dolby I also have no desire to do business with dolby, after he repeatedly refuses to conduct him self in a sociably acceptable way in my place of business.

My experience with dolby was me telling him my dad bagged a mig in nam and that I build cars we run on kennedy space center runway.

He screamed "icepac is a liar" in the arenas as well as the forum often even after being handed proof.

He did this so often that I often get "you are a known liar" from random players even though nobody has ever proven that.

The truth did not fit his agenda but he didn't let that get in the way.

He and Coombz spent way too much time promoting the "icepac is a liar" agenda and now both are banned (for being liars among other things) and I'm still here without ever having experienced more than 1 or 2 "rule number" editing of a post.

I'm ok with him being gone.

I don't get it.  It seems there are way too many interesting things to do in life and way too little time.  I don't get why some people waste their time making life more challenging for others......

The main thing is you have recovered from the systematic abuse and have moved on without becoming permanently bitter about it.

I thought he was banned because of that gawd awful music he puts in his videos. 

Differing musical tastes aside, his AH cinematography was unrivalled.


One does lament the days when more spirited personalities where common on the AH forums. Good behaviour and entertainment sometimes pull in different directions

Dolby was a strong influence for me, in that he helped to interest me in flying the 109's. For the first few years that I played and knew him, hem Latrobe and several others were very respected players, not only for the honor they showed, but for their talents and their humor. Then the schlitz hit the fan, so to speak, and they all became whiney little babies. I have watched and had hoped that Dolby had finally gotten it together again, but, alas, it wasn't to happen. No one is indispensable to the game, and no player(s) should be allowed to dictate how the game is played, or what HiTech should do with HIS game.

Dolby was a loud sweetheart and this is why he got banned.
Loud sweetheartbags are colorful personalities that can add a lot to the community provided you have a thick enough skin and a light enough attitude to stand having them around.

Dolby for all his sweetheartbagness was fun to have around, but I guess that there is a limit to everything.
