I didnt see it that way in his video. The vr mirror was ontop of Desktop background, just like normal. It was a narrow field of view recording of his monitor. Thats what I saw at least. It looked same as what I see, but his frame rates were dropping for some reason.

You're right I was looking at the video window as the VR mirror. 

The check boxes for VR options work for me. I assume you guys are clicking OK after you select the option. The only thing I notice is the head position is different in each mode and the only problem is the pause and hour glass occasionally with mode swap enabled.

Frame rate drop is most likely do to a bug with loading the graphic options. Turn off shadow and clutter in both VR and non VR mode.

This is also why there is a report of the graphic settings not saving.
