Just a thought

I started a new facebook page called Flight City Radio.

Last night I posted little blurs of info about what was going on in the game while I was playing. Nothing earth shattering, and nothing that could help/hurt the war effort, but just basic info. Such and such a team captured this base, a big fight looks to be going on over A63, so-and-so landed 5 kills in a spit1. Just little "news" blurbs as they happen so to speak.

I was thinking that it could be used by those interested to "radio" out the fun going on in the game. 

Check out last nights entries and let me know what you think. Could this be useful to generate more interest in the game? Could we, should we do something like this in Steam? Is it worth the time and effort?

Exactly! Thats the point. Facebook is something most people use to "check-in" through out the day. On a coffee break at work, check FB. Out for a smoke at work, check FB. Waiting for the wife to try on 16 dresses, check FB.

With something like this going people can stop in and "see" whats going on in the game, generating interest. First thing they do after following all day is jump on the game for a quick fight or two. Hopefully it catches on and more and more people not only read it, but post to it checking on friends IN the game while they are not.

OK, Friday night Im going to be back on, as well as Saturday. I'll post the same kind of things, maybe get a few conversations with players added in.

I'd like to get someone.. or more than a few players that will be willing to do the same during the week to try and generate some action on the page. If we could get a half dozen players willing to post WHILE they are playing just to keep the info flowing it might build interest.

Ran another night posting. I have had a couple others stop in and post but would like to see more. We need to get the word out there so other can check in and see what fun we are having.
