Heart attack. Really sad. Had quite a few good (great) times hanging out with friends and listening to his tunes. One of the good guys   :aok

The effin Grim Reaper needs to take a holiday, dammit! He's getting all the good ones, and I'm fed up with it.
Always have been a Petty fan, he was a good talent. Loved his stuff with Orbison and The Traveling Wilburys.

I never really paid Tom Petty a lot of attention until a few months ago when I watched a documentary about him on netflix. At that time I realized how much of a natural artist he has been.
The world has lost someone who made music that was pure in a category of its own.

He currently is in ICU on life support, barely hanging on and is not expected to make it and has a DNR waiver signed....

sad to hear  :cry      Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers were a pretty major part of my youth.   His kind are literally a dying breed, and quite unfortunately so.   Music now......I dont even want to get started down that road.    R.I.P. Tom       :pray
