HOST connection for custom terrun upload hangs.
« on: October 20, 2017, 08:01:15 PM »
I updated my gunnery terrain with battleships, error checking passed. Ran the uploader, it reached a successful build, then sat forever never updating the HOST with the new version of the gunnery terrain.

This is like the old joke that voters are harsher to their beer brewer if he has an outage, than their politicians after raising their taxes. Death and taxes are certain but, fun and sex is only now.

The "Upload terrain to host" checkbox was checked and you "Browsed" to the correct oba file?

The Browse issue should be fixed now so you don't need to do it each session but...
Easy in-game again.

I'll test it again making it the third upload attempt. The second I renamed the res file and produced a new one and browsed to it.

It's still sitting at this with this attempt...

You said "the res file and produced a new one and browsed to it", no, you didn't? You are suppose to target the .oba file.

I've done the user error thing myself when not using the uploader in a while so I'm thinking it applies here as well. Re-enter all the correct info into the uploader when starting a new session. Ignore any previous entry that "looks right."

The only file it lets you see when you browse is the oba. Man you gotta stop trying to prove I'm an ignoramus or something. How did I get my latest MA terrain up to the HOST when Hitech asked me to put it there two weeks ago so he could inspect it, other than use the uploader.

I would never be so rude as to call someone,... what did you call yourself?

For the record, I just re-uploaded avaetow with the current ahupload.exe. You can create a room and check the time stamp of 8:09pm Pacific time to verify it if you feel the need.

If you can quit tripping over your ego long enough, we both know you'll be parroting back my instructions in the post above in a month or two, as your own in a wall of text. Again.

Do I really need to keep asking myself why I bother trying to help you when you get stuck?

Go upload your dang terrain.
