Which makes it even more fun when you rage on an LA7 or Spixteen in one, or chase a diving pony who soon finds out you're much more maneuverable at high speeds and won't compress like a silly 205.

Kingpin has killed my panzer with 50cals from a jug.. Shoots straight down the turret... Flys up rolls over blasts right on top not from side but straight down.. Two or three passes I think he penetrates and kills my driver rather than just damaging my panzer

Yup very doable to panzers.. i dont think ive been able to crack a t34 though

The Ju87G-2 is my favorite T34 can opener. The slower and heavier aircraft in the Ju87 makes for a more challenge, but the guns are top notch. I have my convergence at 250 and do my damnedest to get as broad side as I can (try for that 90° impact). So either go for the vertical dive down or the shallow horizontal dive for a square shot in to the rear or sides.

Once you get bored with the Stuka G2, try the 190F-8 with the AP rockets. THAT is a real challenge. Here are a few tips for the 190F-8 rockets:

They fire two from left wing, then two from right, rinse and repeat. So, on your first pass get low and try for a side impact vs the tank. Aim 1/3 to 1/2 the length of the tank ahead to the RIGHT (rockets fire straight from wing and to point of reticle aim), and fire TWO rockets only or else your just wasting ammo. Miss? Thats ok, you have 10 left. Next pass aim 1/3 to 1/2 to the LEFT of the tank (the next 2 rockets are from the right wing). Aim dead level, no need to accommodate for trajectory).

AFAIK, the cannons are not the same as the zeke - they have a higher rate of fire.
Like a few other rare fighters in the MA, the ki61 greatest assets are that people don't know how to fight against it, and the total disrespect with which they approach it. A skilled pilot can go along way exploiting these two factors even in a mediocre fighter.

Strangely enough, it shouldn't carry 2 bombs. It never did. It was never to carry ground ord in WW2. It carried drop tanks and these oddly-shaped phosphorous airburst bombs that did nothing other than make cloudy streaks in the sky, but not bombs.

That said it can be fun. I like the 205 better but it, too, has its handling issues. Both are little unsung heroes of the midwar planeset.

That BK5 is FUN.  The very first shot I took with it took a Lanc showing icon of 2k thanks to Bustr's range incremented sight for it.

I don't think I've hit anything with it since, but I sure do like to try...
