I have wondered about Dr7 as well, seems like I recall that Walleye had some legal issues and he may be a guest of the county for a while.

I saw Walleye recently with a new call sign. :x

Airstud moved to a new house and may have connections issues.

I think Dr7 is taking a break. :joystick:

I do not know but I would guess Dr7 is or was disappointed in the AH3 GV play.  I sure hope that is what it is instead of something more serious.  I know I have seen him off and on since ah3 but it has been sometime since his last visit to ah3.    I can not remember in ah3 Dr7 landing the big kill numbers like in ah2.  He knew ah2 terrain better than most.

The GV play in AH3 is different only in that you can't camp behind a berm or obstacle unless you're on a base.  No more 85 spawn with the hill, the bridge, and all the berms, away from a town or base.  Same with the old 135/136 spawn, and the 26/28 spawn areas, and the valley spawn areas (can't remember the map names off the top of my head).  Those were tremendous fun.  Camp behind a berm, fill the pipe with crack, and have at it.

No more of that.  But, there is definitely something to be said about the quality of tanking around the GV fields and towns in AH3.  I think in that regard, the GV play is better.

I put on the wishlist a few months ago for Hitech to create new objects for the map makers to drop into their maps.  Namely the old style bridges, berms, and barns.  That way a map maker can drop in those objects wherever they wanted between spawn areas, or around a field or in front of a town.  Doesn't seem like it would be that hard to create or insert.  If you can drop in a tree on a hill, why not a berm.  Put another way, if you can create a slab of terrain and bake in buildings, and traversable curbs, gun pits and small, steep hills and call it a town object with stuff you can drive up to and over, and then drop that town object in a certain spot on the terrain, why not create a slab of terrain with baked in berms, small steep hills, barns, bridges, and trees on them, and drop that in the terrain near a spawn, or between spawns.

Umm I may be mistaken but I spawned into a base tonight and I believe DR7 was camping the spawn and got several before being popped.  At least thats the name that everyone was calling out. :)

In regards to DR7 he has not been on in the last 2 1/2 months because he has had to step back to care for his wife who is seriously ill.   Today we got a good doctor's report but she has a long way to go and DR7 does not know when he will return to the war. :salute

Wow, turn a thread on finding someones friends into the never ending doom of gvs in AH III theme doesn't indicate an exceptionally concerning need for help or anything. I don't know any of them, but the first two played last tour, but not this one, and the last played in tour 208 or so. I know that doesn't tell you where they are, but probably disproves this post a wee bit.

Dr7 is a great guy, and heck of a good player.   His absence has left a big hole in the game no matter if you are on his side our getting your tank busted by the King of GVs.  I do wish his wife a speedy recovery and do understand the hard road he is following having experienced a similar problem this year myself.

Halo my post was not intended to pull away from the OP  but just an explanation.

NKL5 has been missing for almost a year. He is busy taking care of his grand kids at the moment.
He is best Arado 234 and B-25 pilot, period.

NKL5 and I used to steal (literally) v bases in Mid War. Several in a row with the same tactic.
He would keep all the Wirbs looking up while I was running the troops into
the maproom. He was a big trophy for them and getting him was more important
than keeping the base  LOL.
