This week in AvA ---- Torch

Desert War Torch to Tunis Late - '42 to Mid '43

In late 1942 with landings in Morocco, the Allies
began a two prong offensive to drive the Axis out
of North Africa. British and Commonwealth troops
were moving west pushing the Afrika Corps back
across the Egyptian and Libyan deserts. At the
same time a US lead force began moving east from
Morocco towards Tunisia. Despite the excellent
generalship of Rommel, Axis forces were gradually
squeezed into the Cap Bon Peninsula where a last
ditch effort was made to evacuate what troops they
could leaving the rest to surrender in May of 1943.

Awesome setup setup Shipp :salute

Yet none of these MA pilots will ever fly in it.  :headscratch:

I kinda equate it to winter tires up here in Canuck Land - most will tout that ALL SEASONS are good enough.  "WHY would I try winters when my all seasons work just fine in the snow" ...until they give them a try it.  Next - "I CAN'T BELIEVE I DROVE FOR YEARS WITHOUT WINTER TIRES - I LOVE MY WINTER TIRES.  Same difference with the AvA vs MA pilots. Some will complain "THERE'S NO ONE EVER IN THE AVA. WHY WOULD I EVER FLY THERE."

But what do I know? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

We keep hoping to get people in. They dont really realize that we can add a plane or a gv to help them out. No perks and great terrains!! I do appreciate the shout out. But I really didn’t do the setup. I’m just trying to get things going!!  :salute
