OPERATION TURKEY DROP
« on: November 08, 2017, 11:25:16 PM »
Since we have turkey day coming up and we had lightweight troops for Halloween, may I suggest turkeys as troops for thanksgiving as an ode to WKRP?

As god as my witness I thought turkeys could fly!!!!!!!!!

Whoa there, Gasp!!!     Indians? Indians? They are native Americans my friend and you know we can't put them in as troops to capture the map room. For one thing we might be accused of steeling their ethnic identity and can you imagine the outcry the first time someone shot one of them as it tried to get into the map room?    :bolt:

I say this with a hint of sarcasm but you know it would happen sadly.. :uhoh

Then again what about the Turkeys?  We can't be seen shooting that majestic fowl out of the air either as it flutters down to the ground....  :D   Ahh I could go on and on.   :rofl
From the ashes of the old we rise to fly again. Behold The Phoenix Wing!

Can I take this as a message that you will be busy making some turkeys?

Years later after seeing that episode, two of my friends were hunting in Florida when they saw a turkey high up in a tree.  One turns to the other an says "how did he get up there - I thought turkeys couldn't fly?".  The turkey then sees them and takes off - flying away from our intrepid hunters, who slap themselves for their stupidity for not just blasting him when they had they chance.

The farm-raised domesticated and wing-crippled thanksgiving turkey might not fly, but the wild turkey flies just fine.

Actually I think it would be more appropriate to have Turkey's as the "meat bomb" of the day.

old, half rotten jack-o-lanterns as ordnance
The real problem is anyone should feel like they can come to this forum and make a wish without being treated in a derogatory manner.  The only discussion should be centered around whether it would work, or how it would work and so on always in a respectful manner.

they can, and will sleep in trees... sounds like a bear with all the wings flapping and tree limbs breaking.
they just don't fly more than a few yards up or down.
