Not really happy with the new VH, as (1) I didn't think hanger spawn camping was that much of a problem before (and I've been shot many times), and as (2) now any camper who gets into position is better protected against interference.  Would have been better to allow spawn facing in either direction (as for planes), plus perhaps choice of hanger in case where base has more than 1.

Also, the new GV "radar quadrant" thing is a horrible change, which hugely increases GV vulnerability to aircraft.  I was going to start a new thread about this, but decided not to, as I doubt HTC really cares ...

We went from 6k icons on gvs to 20 ton tanks being invisible sitting in plain sight. The quadrant radar kinda moves the slider back toward the middle. The icon distance didn’t change so the gv still has the advantage there.

I doubt you'd say this if you were a serious single (non horde) GVer.  I can see why people who want to bomb GVs like it though, as people often have difficulty seeing the other guy's (GV player's) POV.  This reinforces my long-held opinion that Hitech doesn't see GV play as a serious alternative to aircraft play, but merely as an adjunct to base capture hordes.  I assume he thinks that this type of change will attract more players than it alienates.  Time will tell.

Why give an opinion until one has spent several days to a week minimum playing with the new updates to get a better informed fact based data of how the new changes have improved or hurt  GV gameplay, then give a better educated view on the new update....

Just a suggestion....

I still don't understand why the back door can't be closed? Sounds like the easiest and most elegant solution...unless there still needs to be some kind of reward for the camper for making it into a position of camping, and a penalty for allowing him to do so.

Back door camping, just turn the wall into a solid "U" around the back half of the vHanger. Then a smart camper will sit on the side facing forward and shoot tanks rolling out onto the field looking for him. Each time he shoots one, he reverses into the back of the "U" and just around the corner. Even rotate his turret to hit anyone backing out the rear door trying to get angles on him. Make sure there is enough clearance out the back door to make a left or right turn. I suppose the full wall around the vHanger is to keep that tank from killing aircraft as they spawn or land. So if a tank sits inside the wall shooting HE at the vHanger, when the hanger blows up does the tank get blown up with it? That would be fair.

The new hangar walls some how did not make it into the build. Here is what they look like.

Just tested that wall around the VH and you will not be doing any speeding getting out onto the field. You will do a few cuts and reverses with the wirble before getting out a side opening in the wall. The wirbel does not turn tight enough.

Maybe I'm missing something. But I just looked at two Vbases and a port offline. In both cases there were some nice hills directly behind the VH, so that as a would-be-camper I had a free shot

Hitech puts up a wall to stop peeping Toms, they climb up on a hill and use long range optics.

Actually, Bustr, they were already using those positions to spawn-camp BEFORE the wall update.

The 1-mile V-base and Port are going to be particularly vulnerable even with the walls.  And not from long range, either, but from the known "camping hills" on the base.  Note the range setting on the sight.

Actually I only bomb gvs under three circumstances.

1. Trying to capture the base. (But I’ll grab a gv for defense too)

2. Pilot drags friendlies to a wirb so they can clear his six instead of trying to fight.

3. Runway camper

I suck at gvs in general so kudos to those who can enjoy a tank fight in them.

I remember that hill at the port, we needed a plane from the CV to bomb the tank. This will change how players plan for camping hangers at ports an vBases. When I tested the wall, it was a PITA time waster getting your GV around the corner just to get out of the containment area. A fighter conceivably will have much of your ack down or even your ammo bunkers by the time your wirble has cleared the paddock and into a firing position. I think the original request was some way to stop an enemy tank from sitting at the back door and shooting you as you spawned inside of the hanger. As is you have a 50\50 chance on getting blown away trying to get out from the enclosure, then getting blown away coming back around from the other side to try and find the enclosure camper who just shot you. I suppose making it faster to maneuver inside of the enclosure would help.
