rotating turret sound....constantly there

since update on 14/11 any gv gas a constant sound of a rotating turret. even when engine off and not moving the turret. its terribly irritating and did not occur prior to the update.  I have reinstalled the game,rebooted,danced sung and done everything I can thing of but it wont stop.   does not occur in planes just the gv`s .  can I remove the rotation sound from the sound file?   any help from anyone would be really useful.

This is happening to me too. Since last update when launcing any turretted GV I get constant turret rotation sound playing when the turret is stationary.
My version is 3.02 patch 17.

Do you use a joy stick , or mouse only? And can you zip up your settings folder and post it.

I play using only the mouse (and keyboard).

For a quick fix until HTC makes the update correction, you can go to:  clipboard>options>preferences>game sounds>advanced> and turn down the volume on the actuators.  Flaps, bomb bay doors, etc. will also be affected.

Why even have that sound... It sounds like a huge piece of concrete being drug on another concrete slab...How about just a little whir. like a real one.
