yeah some folks need ever manageable way to sneak a base with out an actual chance of real combat.  going the long way around as to not flash the SB makes absolutely to much since.  why don't we hide the "prepped" title in the CB so no one knows it wf then no one will up and combat will drop to 00000000000000000000000000000!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If HTC wanted to remove all sneakiness from the game, he would have started way back in AH1.

Flipth your ankle humping flatters me.  However your assumption about why I made this request is wholly incorrect and shows just how tiny your brain is.  It's ok the the Anti-Bored have low expectations anyway.  Keep up the hard work, you will make a varsity squad some day.  RTB in Fear for now.  :aok

just curious, Why? Other than trying to sneak into a base I cant see any other reason to stop the flashing. As to why it does flash, Im thinking it mimics the spotters there that would hunt and then range find for the guns.

Bombers normally avoid radar circles on long bombers missions.  Some of the newer maps placements of shore batteries force bombers off map to maintain that same non visibilty (flashing) when flying to strats.  Encouraging bombers to go off the map to avoid detection at altitude is not a good thing.  Makes them harder to find and it is not a behavior to be encouraged.

As a bomber nut, myself. The flashing towns, SB's, etc., don't really bother me. I squeeze between circles as well, but at the same time I don't want to be TOTALLY undetectable. The darbar is a clue, and the flashing SB is another teaser for someone to come up and get me and/or our bomb group.

and the direct attack on the names and squad degradation shows the size of yours.  there is all ready to much sneaking and slithering going on in this game.  we need things to encourage fighting.  I get the chance to fly more than most in here as I am tied to a desk all day with not much to do but answer the phone.  it amazes me at the amount of people that flat out refuse to engage in a 1v1 fight.  it amazes me at the time a bomber will take to fly to a strat to avoid combat.  how when over whelmed the slightest bit every one jumps in gvs and field guns or just simply leaves and go to another field.  I am by no means a good fighter but I think I have progressed well in the last 6 months, but I run from no one and no fight and when I have a turn fight with one or two planes (I know I am gonna loose) and my objective right now is to at least get shots on both I enjoy that very much.
I think there needs to be more that points out cons and sneaks.  also some way to channel the fights better.  there should be arrows pointing to where the cons are and fight bases in a order of logistic purposes.  also there should be a base take cap ie you take 2 bases that belong to team x you have to take 2 bases that belong to y before you can advance on the next x team bases.  the horde mentality is over whelming in here for all sides and is devastating the game play.  a perfect example is weekend play, this is the third weekend in a row where you log on and theres not a single knight and rook fight.  its hard to deal with numbers like that and ruins game play for a lot of guys that only get to play on the weekend.
again the flashing shore battery should be the least of our worries when hunting bombers, if you want to kill the bombers head to the strat with drop tanks and hover over it till he shows, obviously that's where he is heading so head him off there.

200 yards is too short for the Quadrant Dar Using the Hurricane IID.

found this in the other wishlist, so you want the bombers to be able to sneak around but want an advantage on gvs on the ground?

You dont need the shore bats to not have flashers, we need the flying off the map to be a bit more catastrophic. You fly off the map you get a popup window to turn back immediately, 15 seconds later if not back on the map, all planes explode, proxy awarded, game continues.   :devil

This has been wished for before, as well as other penalties for going off of the map.

YES!  I tried a similar suggestion like this but no one seemed to bite on it.  Suggested that all ordnance is dropped and all ammo for defensive guns is fired off upon leaving map after X amount of minutes of leaving map but it got a lukewarm response.  Again it is is another map quirk.  Some maps you can kill the off map raiders, some you can shoot them all day and not register damage.  Weird....
