VS-41 SBD
« on: November 19, 2017, 04:17:06 AM »
Thanks to Lyric1 for finding me the info for this skin. Continuing my current theme of Operation Torch skins is this SBD from VS-41.

This aircraft was part of VS-41, a dive bomber squadron assigned to USS Hornet during Operation Torch the 1942 Allied landings in Vichy French North Africa. SBDs were mainly used to prevent the French Fleet in Casablanca harbour from attacking the invasion fleet. Like all USN aircraft in the campaign the side and lower star insignia were given a yellow surround to aid identification from the ground.

These Torch schemes are fantastic.  Great work.  (I'll request another belly shot from you if you get time.)

Outstanding work!
There must also be a flyable computer available for Nefarious to do FSO. So he doesn't keep talking about it for eight and a half hours on Friday night!
