How did they nerf the 262?  I fly it here and there and haven't noticed any huge difference from AH2 to AH3.   :huh

There was no change from AH2 to AH3.

it was long long ago, not during the AH2->AH3 transition. The plane used to be able to pull more AoA than it could handle, and since there was no torque it would "mush" through a turn very much like a P-38. This would bleed your E and wasn't the best to keep doing, BUT it allowed you to "mush" into a deflection shot and the overall responsiveness of the elevators felt (subjectively, from hindsight) about twice as good as we have now. Now it feels like it has stall limiter on all the time. Almost like the difference of flying a Ki-84 with combat trim on the elevators or manual trim, but more noticable.

Back in AH2 I thought Hitech found an issue with the 262 wing snapping off under stress and strengthened it a bit.

This is like the old joke that voters are harsher to their beer brewer if he has an outage, than their politicians after raising their taxes. Death and taxes are certain but, fun and sex is only now.

Tempest should have already been done just because it has perks attached to it.

He didn't strengthen them, as much as he dumbed down the inputs so it wouldn't be a risk anymore. Hence the reduced elevator authority. It was the change that killed the 262 for me. It was never worth flying after that.

:headscratch: Apart from the joystick centring I can't feel any difference in quality or rate with CT on or off.

Ki-67 looks great! Especially the cockpit and flaps. Hadn't noticed those before. Bet I can turn fight that
