Why no kill recorded?
« on: November 24, 2017, 12:33:47 PM »
I took out a fw190d, smoked his engine,  he landed and ended sortie or disco'd...  I received no kill or assist msg and the fw landed away from any safe place.

Smoked it at around 1:16.. he ditched around 3:29  i flew back to base to see if he had disco'd (that 5 min thing).. landed at 10:30 and ended 11:16.

So what happened here? Other than my lousy gunnery not finishing it off before he ended.
Surrounded by suck and underwhelmed with mediocrity.
I'm always right, it just takes some poepl longer to come to that realization than others.
I'm not perfect, but I am closer to it than you are.

I'm seeing this same thing with increasing frequency the last two patches.  1 v 1, I win the fight, and no kill or assist even recorded.  Hear that one guy landed something like 89 kills  :x in one sortie with a fighter.  No rearm padding.  Just up, shoot a couple down, land and voila.

Looks like he was close to his base. He'll get a ditch if he landed and came to a stop. Damage doesnt matter. If it was closer to YOUR base then it matters and I think you get the kill, or someone else will get the proxy if you land before he towers out.

I had one the other day where a guy tried to ditch out -- I then laid into him while on the ground, and heard and saw the plane explode, but received no assist, no kill message, nothing, but clearly watched the man blow up in a hail of my gunfire.   :headscratch:

Odee, you may have gotten that message wrong..
It should have stated something like this:
Coogan sucks so bad he was killed 89 times in the same plane and in the same sortie.    :airplane:
