Basically, DSR renders your game at a super detailed resolution and the shrinks the view to fit your monitor, effectively giving you 4K resolutions on HD monitors.

It is just another way to accomplish anti-aliasing.

I haven’t tried this option yet, not sure what type of performance issues will exist if any.

If you use it, be sure to disable anti-aliasing in the game or it will be very blurry.

Nvidia has moved this option on some cards due to it's negative performance hit.
The setting used to be found in the Control Panel/Manage 3D Settings/Program Settings.
Now it can be found in Control Panel/Manage 3D Settings/Global Settings and is turned off by default.
I don't use it myself.  The anti-aliasing setting within AHIII is pretty good.  It's not worth the performance loss to use DSR in my case.

I am glad I read this thread.  My only problem with the AH anti-alias was that the icons became faded.  This has been a common complaint I have heard in the MA since the release of AH3.

With DSR enabled I get the anti-alias and the icons remain bright.  Just made my AH eye-candy sweeter!  :aok

Did you also change the resolution within the game you are playing?
