AHIII Version 3.03 Patch 0
« on: December 05, 2017, 09:08:47 AM »
Since I've upgraded to this version I've noticed when flying that the AHIII game client seems to be making more efficient use of the available CPU cores on my box, both in the amount of CPU core usage per CPU core (actually spreading the load more evenly across the CPU cores being used instead of piling mostly on a single CPU core) AND the number of actual physical CPU cores being used (using all 4 assigned physical CPU cores instead of 2 w\ an occasional bump to a 3rd).............

I do know that this CPU operational pattern that I'm witnessing now wasn't occurring prior to this latest game client update.................

 ;)

Since I use a Win 10 CMD-created shortcut w\ the game to auto assign CPU priority and affinity to run AHIII upon game execution (and have verified that it does work) and know the CPU core affinity assignments, I know that it is the AHIII game client that is actively using the CPU cores that are showing these improvements.............

So it would appear that either HTC has performed some "black magic" within the game client to make better use of available system resources OR MS has actually made some tangible improvements within the Win 10 OS, most notably thru Game Mode, in the latest Fall Creators Update to improve CPU resource allocation for a game (I have Game Mode enabled on my box and have it manually set up to recognize AHIII as a game to automatically "optimize" system resources for AHIII upon game execution) or have improved Win 10 OS recognition\execution on an AMD Ryzen CPU's architecture OR both of y'all have made some improvements.........on the down low.........

Just making some observations.........

 :D

No need to reply as either way I'm LOVING the results of what I'm seeing!

Keep up the good work!

Nothing we have done would have impacted this.
