An engine cowling from a Fw 190A of II.(Sturm)/Jagdgeschwader 4 has been found underterrain on a dispersal area of a former airfield used by JG 4 on late war months. This brings a completely new look on the JG 4 emblem with not yet know red background! Of course, it brings also several new questions...! I am happy to add, that this unique piece of history is now safely in hands of our old friends from the Virtual JG 4! "

I saved the pics. In the spring I may try to find a piece of German sheet metal (BMW, VW, Audi) that I can cut down & frame with this.
