About the cowl rivets, I think I first saw them on Fester's 31st FG "American Beauty".   Here's the best photo evidence I could find:
However I take your point and think I've made them too noticeable - all the photo's show the rivets concealed by the anti-glare paint.  I'll remove them.
I'm not sure I can duplicate that row of screws going all the way across the top in roughly in the middle due to stretching but I'll give it a try.
Great photo there. Really shows off the rivet lines. Makes sense that there would be rivets there, just very rare to actually see them in photos.
Yeah, I agree with both of you.   I think they must be puttied in, painted over...   That or Sierra Sue has something going on that’s different from factory production techniques.   
It’s a head scratcher as I looked all day before posting to make sure I wasn’t missing something.   I chalked it off to internal spot welding and those big old screws. 
Edit in: I’ve managed to find a few more with them.   Tarnish, paint, and light are major factors in determining how visible they are.   Maybe just dial them back a tiny bit but still leave them.
