VF-84 F4U-1C
« on: December 25, 2017, 10:00:52 AM »
Thanks to Lyric1 for finding me the info for this skin.

This F4U-1C was part of VF-84 while serving aboard the USS Bunker Hill in 1945. This squadron fought in the battles of Iwo Jima and Okinawa as well as in raids against the Japanese mainland, until in May when the Bunker Hill was badly damaged by two Kamikaze strikes which put it and VF-84 out of the war.

Outstanding! Merry Christmas Greebo!
There must also be a flyable computer available for Nefarious to do FSO. So he doesn't keep talking about it for eight and a half hours on Friday night!

Always liked VF-84 Hogs.   Interesting to see one WITHOUT the yellow cowling band.  I like it.  Well done.   :aok

Really nice job (as usual). As much as I pride myself on knowing tidbits about VF-17 and VF-84 I didn't realize 84 flew any C variants. Again, thank you for your hard work and contributions to the community. Thanks for the Christmas present and Merry Christmas to you.

When you consider there was only 200 made & VMF-311 was an all Chog squadron I think they alone had at least 10% of all that were made. It dosn't leave that many for other units.

I'm really excited to see VF-84 got some. I'm looking forward to this skin in the game. When I'm active again, I'll need to build up some perks. :)
