FSO Conquest at Casablanca 1942 Frame #1 Highlights
« on: January 08, 2018, 12:09:41 PM »
*** Ear Muff are required ***

A bold and risky FSO. We try our best to get to our target base when like every plan it goes of the rails and you find yourself up a creek with out a paddle. Hope you enjoy the Video (S).

Good video. Good flying. :salute

The Allies did eventually get all hangars at the target field.

Good video. You can clearly see what went wrong, your escorts left you. KN were the first group of Yak's that shadowed the SBD's. Once the F4F's lost their patience, we dove in. Well done getting out of there and getting the kill on my squaddie :(

<S> thank for watching sir. I am glad that somebody was able to get to the field. As you saw we got put threw the meat grinder.

After watching this fight threw the film viewer and a few others angles from others (YouTube) uploads I saw two things. Yaks where able to get to 20k faster than the F4F could. Also going direct to the target base was not the best course of action. Those two things alone set our fate in motion. Good "D" Axis <S>

Also going direct to the target base was not the best course of action.

If I am leading the bombers, we rarely make course directly for the objective.

There's several good tactics to make a successful bomber mission in FSO.

1) Don't fly NOE.
2) Be sure to coordinate with all groups involved, especially your escort.
3) Don't fly faster than your escort.
4) Climb in friendly airspace if possible and take the most out of the way route you can in 60 minutes.

I'm not the best, but I have led a few of these before <S>
There must also be a flyable computer available for Nefarious to do FSO. So he doesn't keep talking about it for eight and a half hours on Friday night!
