Depends, on why it crashes. Will it boot and if it boots up does it throw any errors (error codes)?

With out seeing it, or any more information, I'd guess the CPU over heated. Check the fans and see if the cooler is still attached to the cpu/mother board.

The cpu will heat up and error out real fast if there is no cooling. If the fan is junk, or the seating of the cooler and cpu is bad you might still be ok if you redo the cooler connection and get the fan running.  Be sure all the fans are running to, power supply, graphics card, case fans. Heat is the biggest enemy of computers.

Other than looking at that stuff, which is easy enough to check, it will be hard to figure out whats wrong using the message board.

yes it boots and and this is windows 10, it says critical error died when it crashes. after looking that up, it says it could be a virus or
corrupt files ...bad disk .  no virus detected.  Was just wondering if its worth running a repair or should i just wipe it and reinstall ?

If you can, then I would wipe it and reinstall the operating system.  Make sure all the drivers get loaded.

DogTown

For the sake of arguments (which are many)

I recommend dual booting (installing windows twice and having another partition or disk for each OS install)

One for gaming and one for your other work etc. you can still access the files from each other with no issues however it will keep alot of programs and stuff from interfering with your game drivers and other things.
Get VoiceBot and Use Speech for game commands
www.voicebot.net
AutoHotkey and Software repo maps etc for AHIII
