Does anyone know anything about Rasberry pi's? I would like to turn one into a camera system that logs GPS and is run by one of those big batteries we charge our phones on.
Can anyone help?

Better off asking in the Rasberry Pi forums, https://www.raspberrypi.org/forums/.  It's where I went when I had some questions about making a SNES emulator using a Rasberry Pi board.

I haven't played with them but recently I read quite an interesting series for beginners to make a couple of "smart" devices with it in one of our consumer IT magazines. They've also compared Raspberry with other similar concepts. Based on what I've learned there, Raspberry is the safest choice for a novice since they have the largest knowledge base available through their forums.
