HTC has erroneously labeled this aircraft a P-47D-25-RE, when in fact the tail numbers (42-26786) give it away as being a -27, as does Dan Hagedorn's book P-47 The Final Chapter: Latin American Air Force Service, which contains Brazilian Air Force records of all jugs used by the FAB listing "D4" as a -27.

Interesting, I looked it up after I read your post. You are right!  :) Tail numbers 42-26774 thru 42-27384 (Quantity 611) were built under contract W535-AC-29279-6 and were P-47D-27-RE. Wow.. you really know your stuff!
