Contrails and wingtip vortices
« on: March 13, 2018, 03:08:20 PM »
Title says it all. Was idly wondering if it were at all possible to have them; I have no clue as to their feasibility programming-wise and on the graphic calculations side of it, but they might be aesthetically pleasing and provide an increased immersion factor.
Sorry it it's been recently asked, search on the term shows results dating back to 2001 and nil ever since.
Best,
Marc

-1  Frame rate is labored enough. I do like the idea, but as I mentioned, I'm afraid the frame rate would suffer.

Would be cool to have as an option. Like airshow smoke or trails. Would add a nice dramatic touch to videos.

If it didn't kill frame rates, I'd like to see contrails for bomber formations above 25k.

Wingtip turbulence is neat, but games way overdo them, especially for WWII planes.
