Think maybe it's time again to have the bi-annual discussion about introducing a HUD that takes the place of the whole instrument package kind of like WT does? Leave the existing instruments and interiors. Aside from the

visual factor and the feeling like Hitech gets it's the 21st century. I doubt it's going to suddenly turn everyone into an ACM master. Unless Hitech can be convinced to add the WT style aimbot. Our current neanderthal HUD is still on an off\on toggle, and so should this idea be.
Wonder how many of the Steam based players who rejected the game inside of 20 minutes were turned off by how old school everything is. In some ways our game is like being sent to summer camp where the camp only has Quonset huts with foldout cots, a slit latrine, washing in the lake, and a land line to the directors cabin for emergencies. Everything else is hands on to have fun old school style. I've noticed in parks around where I live, I don't see kids playing baseball, football or even soccer anymore. If I see any of them they are looking at smart phones. And from the comments of younger ex AH vets who drop in from time to time, AH is too retro to even be Hip retro. Even though the part of the game that gives them the "fix" is no different than exactly that moment in all the other Hip games when the gunsight is full of the enemy con going boom.
It's like wanting silk sheets, a modern bed cover instead of grandmas old hand made quilt, and the walls not wallpapered with 30's vintage doilie patterns even though your lady still loves you but likes her vintage 30's look to the bedroom. The bed is a bed and the magic don't care what the walls look like until the Steam generation of gamers came along. And they want their boudoir to look like their fantasies about the magic even though the magic don't care once it's in motion. And funny, they don't at that point either. Never try to sell a house with a 70's looking kitchen to a millenial, it's probably part of what gets the 20 minute quickies out of here euphemistically.
