Should I have a blast and keep trolling, or keep trolling and have a blast?

Come fly events if you want good historical stuff.

A perfect example of why one should NOT post while under the influence.

Accuracy wasn't the main reason why the Fleet Air Arm and Bomber Command had to fly multiple missions to sink the Tirpitz, it's double layer of armor plating was the main reason.  It was one tough behemoth of a ship, it withstood multiple direct hits from Tallboy bombs before it was finally sunk.  If you had gone to your local library and done some research you would have known this.

You should also read the 5th's AF after action report on the Battle of the Bismark Sea, it mentions the high accuracy of heavy bombers against the Japanese fleet during the battle.  You know, something you can find in your local library.

Rodbuster, the June scenario is themed on going after the Tirpitz (among other things).  (Themed on it -- not a perfectly historical recreation, though.)

We'd love to have you join us for the event if you'd like.
