How bout them Braves
« on: May 16, 2018, 11:32:29 PM »
While I am sure this hot start wont last, they sure are fun to watch in the mean time. I snagged Albies in the middle rounds of my fantasy draft and I am happy I have him the kid plays balls out.

Pirates look good at the moment too. Just waiting for the all star break to spiral into shame. :cry
There must also be a flyable computer available for Nefarious to do FSO. So he doesn't keep talking about it for eight and a half hours on Friday night!

Yeah The Tigers are hanging around with all the injuries, winder what they could have done If Gardenhire was there sooner. I like to watch aggressive teams on the bases makes the game more interesting I think and I HATE the shift

The shift is great.  Makes hitting a base hit way easier.  If you can't hit the ball in two directions, you're not a real baseball player, so punishing those who only hit the ball in one place is a good thing.

This is the Captain.  We have a lil' problem with our entry sequence so we may experience some slight turbulence and then... explode.

I can see the validity of this, Tony Gwynn was my favorite player as a kid so I appreciate someone that can hit it to any part of the field. Home runs are fun to watch but when the person hitting them has an average of .158(looking at you Joey Bats) they tend to lose their luster. I get more excited about stringing together a single a stolen base and a double. I caught on MLB tv they were discussion that it seems like managers are more willing to green light base runners as the trend may be going towards its better to send them and lose them trying to score than to leave them on base.

EDIT: Fixed Bautista's average.  :uhoh

Bautista is gone and Dansby completed the 9th inning comeback. Braves were down 9-4! Problem is Zigler is in my fantasy rotation and received a healthy ERA of 54! out of that. :bhead :x I am conflicted lol but ozzie and Freddie also got on base stole 2nd and scored that inning so that's a plus.
