Who knew this lot could read?

Nobody has to read on this board. Just wait a while and Arlo will come along and post so many pictures you'll be an instant expert on the topic.  :devil

Seriously, though, Kelly says hi. She still remembers that get together fondly.

So I tell her (again) that you're a published author now and she says, "Great!"

Then I get the look.

I say, "Don't say it!"

She says, "I didn't say a thing."

I replied, "You didn't have to."

After a bit, she says it anyway, "You've been telling me since the day we met that you're a writer."

"I know, I know, and now you're gonna use the Shifty thread to beat me upside the head.", says me.

(I should never have pointed out this thread.)

The difference between an author and a writer is that an author has a deadline.

Always glad to help a friend Arlo. :D

Seriously though buddy. If I can write a book anybody can. The last thing I ever thought I'd do would be publish a novel.

ENJOY? UNDERSTATEMENT by FAR :rock I read alot of books in this genre and came to enjoy ALL of David Woods' novels. Few other writers have been able to hook me like he did! You kicked his butt, imo :rock  More?   :uhoh If you write em, I will read em

Thanks buddy there are two more in the series planned. I've started the second one, but my wife and I are in the middle of moving to Honobia Oklahoma, it's about 17 miles from the setting of the story up in the Kiamichi Mountains. As soon as we're settle in I'll be able to get back to the second book.

Will have to go look for that one Shifty! I remember you telling me a long time ago that you were writing a book but I honestly never knew you finished it.

Our mutual bud Shifty has written a book, RELICS.  It’s for order on Amazon in paperback or Kindle.  I’ve just finished reading it.  It’s a great action/adventure read written with a lot of in-depth knowledge and research on all aspects of the story.  This is the best I’ve read in years.  It’s hard to put down once started.  In my humble opinion, one of the top tier movie directors should put this on the big screen.

Well done Shifty!   :salute  :aok

Thanks Puma.. Shifty is an old friend an a hell of a good guy.  I normally don't buy books but I will be buying this.

Actually SE Oklahoma is pretty much a hidden gem. Much different from NE Texas where I'm moving from. Check out the Kiamichi Mountains when you have time. I'll be right in the heart of them. Thanks Dico! I hope you enjoy the book old friend. Yes Reschke, for once in my life I finished what I set out to do.  :D

Very nice area and looks nothing like the Oklahoma I have visited. Looks a lot like the Ozarks. You will love it I think.
