2. Cool pics.
3. Does a rocket have to hit an aircraft or is there some type of timed fuse/prox fuse?

It's a timed fuse. Up a 190-A8 get about 1k behind and a little below some lancs match speed nose up when lined up with center bomber fire.

Only the German rockets for the 190 (except the 190f8 anti armor rockets), 109, 110g, and 410 are timed. All others are impact fused.
