I think logistics and research takes more time than modeling. I can generally knock out an accurate model in about a week, but some details require more research because it is nearly impossible to find detailed information on some aspects. Even a TBD can be done, but there are none that have survived (actually, I think Lyric found one that is being built up from nothing). Still, even a survey simulation like Aces High requires more than just a model.

On the Me262

Production began in March 1944 with 519 delivered from Augsburg and 49 from Regensburg in 1944. Another 558 (A) and 307 (R) in 1945. Some 611 were damaged or destroyed before delivery. Of this 611 there was 114 repaired.
