Blue Mako,

More important than damage reports are actual films that show you destroying things. If your guys have film showing buildings and AAA down I would send those to Exile since the film would show that there was a bug.

cc Ghost but I think getting an idea of what we actually hit is probably the first step rather than just sending a mess of films to Exile.  ;)

we had this problem when we used the euro map that facility you bombed as probrably "own by your country".

If you saw no damage or theres was no "structure destroyed message" then I would
guess this was the case.

If so then I suspect you would be in the same boat as those who bombed/strafed facilities in the euro map to discover this........... the SOL boat   :)

edit the phillipine map is no longer up in the sea but check ur films to see that the hq facity wasn't green.

if it wasn't then disregard post.

That HQ that the 412th hit was set as Knit ownerswhip....that was the reason the countries were swapped this last frame.  I couldnt get it switched to Bish ownership no matter what I tried...but that is probably just my newbieness.   :)

I know there was a problem with the rebuild times and that was changed partway thru the frame, but like I said during the frame if the targets were hit, it would show in the logs.  Send your films to Exile and he will see wht he can do.  I did do a flyby in the CM eye after you guys hit the HQ and the questions started flying and I saw no damage at the HQ.

D'oh!  I didn't film the combat!  I only filmed the cv launches and some snippets of a zeke going down in flames  :(

The 412th and Rogue combined did do some damage to the HQ.  I saw many small structures destroyed in our first attack but they were rebuilt by the time we returned for our second attack.  Must be a log bug.  :(

Sorry I don't have any film to back up but you do know all the questions were going out as soon as no ground object destroyed messages were received even though things were destroyed...

I have no films either. My PC is not so good anymore and the films make it stutter too much.

I am certain that we destroyed things at that HQ though. On both attacks, I dove at the city portion with 2x 500lb bombs and 8x rockets, letting all loose in the big cluster of buildings.

I know from experience that 2x 500 will kill at least 5 - 6 buildings and the rockets another 2 or 3.

I received no destroyed messages, so I have no idea what happened.

The 412th put 8 F4s up and all 8 made the first attack run. 3 of us made the second attack run. Not one of us got a destroyed message.

I know we didn't all miss. Hell, we played a major part in killing P28 and all of P24 in the first frame. It's not like we don't know what we are doing  :)

412th, give us your best educated guess on what was destroyed. We will go from there.

Your word is good enough for me.

First raid I dropped 2x250s and 8 rockets into the training(?) area of the HQ complex.  Was the cluster of buildings at the NE corner anyway.  I would conservatively claim 2 ground objects destroyed.  Only had time for a quick glance back at damage as I beat feet...

Second raid I fired 8 rockets into the city building complex of the HQ (same target as Midnight and theFatz).  I would say at least 2 ground objects destroyed.

All ordinance was dropped with salvo 2 settings.

(I did note in the first attack that the city building cluster appeared completely flattened by the other attackers.)

Like I said in the above post, I can only guess 5 to 6 buildings with that much explosives... 2x 500 and 8x HVAR

There was way too much AA to stick around low and see what got hit. With our fuel critical and 3 wounded birds, we RTBed as soon as we dropped.

I'll leave it to your discretion daddog, but I would like to see something like a total of 10 buildings for the first attack and 5 buildings for the second as we only had three attackers on the second run.

Bottom line is that with the tight cluster of targets (City buildings and Troop Training) it is damn near impossible to miss with everything, especially 500 bomb bombs.

The 500 pounders alone can kill 4 buildings each, and we dropped 16 + 6 (22) of them. Max damage potential = 88 buildings, at a 15% ratio : 13.2 buildings

The 2x HVAR can kill 1 building, and we fired 64 + 24 (88) of them. Max potential damage = 44 buildings, at a 15% ratio : 6.6 buildings

Total damage if we got a 15% kill ratio from max potential = 19.8 buildings

Thanks

I think it is obvious you destroyed at least 1/2 the buildings. We will adjust your score to add 40 buildings destroyed. 20 buildings is too conservative even for me.  ;)

You should see a change soon.

I guess I could be bitter and point out that in london calling the 2 frames i coed all the axis target were unkillable do to the a1/a2 bug (all our attack targets were owned by the axis country)and we were basicslly sol..........

but I wont ......... 40 buildings wont change anything we still got spanked  :(

Wotan, you can always point out those things to me and I will be happy to make adjustments. If you did and I forgot then please remind me.

Moot point now for the TOD you mentioned, but in the future just contact the Admin CM or myself and we will get it squared away.
