Flippz - this is me 'picking' your Tempest
« on: July 27, 2018, 12:56:16 AM »
You can quite clearly see that as soon as I identified the enemy plane I turned to it to fight.  I was lower and probably slower than you.

You over committed to the other 51 and allowed me to slide behind you.  That is not a pick by any stretch of the imagination.

Yeah I do not want this thread to degenerate into an insult fest so I will steer clear of that.  I do think it is useful for flippz to see the fight from my end as the two sides of the fence often have differing opinions as to what went down.

Why not post the full extent of what’s going on over there fess.  It’s about 5 of my guys against a double dar of your guys.  All of which ran from any 1v1 account that got close until there was a few folks that could help them. It happened on a repeated case of us coming in with alt.
You post that you can’t find a fight but you fail to understand most guys are not gonna up in that kinda of trash. When that was going on there had been full dar bars on both our fronts for several hours at that point. When I said some thing about you stated this was the only fight you could find. Of course it was y’all had numbers and there were a enough of us coming in to keep you all occupied. All it takes is to up bombers wf a town and generally you get a fight. You all don’t do that most in here go for the path of easier resistance and where they are safe in numbers.
Maybe pick was the wrong term to use.  I can say on two occasions I watched you extend anywhere from three to four k away when you got singled out only to come back and kill me when I was in a fight with another plane. I know there is no even playing field in this game but I would think veteran players would have enough sense and knowledge to know that a constant gang bang is gonna do nothing but drive guys to gvs and field guns and sneaking into to undefended bases (which you have made a thread about as well).
There is a picture of the map from last night that some one posted. Look at that picture and tell me what you see in the way of dar bars. Double dar on the rook bish front and a solid dar bar on the knit bish front and not a single dar on the rook nit front. And for the most part it was that way for the entire night. Today the map was changed and from about 10am this morning until I logged at 3pm there was not a single rook nit front base flashing. The weekend is upon us and I can almost guarantee for the weekend it will be nothing but a gang fest on our fronts to the point it’s not fun to play.
I like to fight probably more than anyone but it gets tiring when you know every time you up you will have to fight five to get a fight. I don’t want to fly a 51 or 190 so I can run around and pick and run from fights, I can but I like turn fighting. Soon the fighters in this game are gonna move on and you gonna be left with a bunch of folks like a certain yak rook fighter and certain knight 190 flier. Then it will be a fuel mileage fight and y’all will appreciate these huge maps and instead of tabbing out you can go mow the lawn or go grocery shopping before you run into a fight.

So I counted three including me enemy.  That’s was about my eighth trip there lol.

But cute video of a few min section to a several hour horde.

Max get the whole video and watch the whole thing before you watch a smidgen of it and make an assumption. When I came in at alt less than 4K range watch three of them hit the deck running. I wound up that low trying to catch something to fight.

I would like for the whole video posted and not an edited version.

Come in NOE and you won't have to worry......Or....come in with such a huge altitude advantage that they can't run away long before you catch them.

Flippz,

I am not sure I will ever get agreement from you, you are wound up too tight when it comes to anything I do.  I think you kind of agreed I did not pick you in that fight - but did all the other times.  Ok whatever.  I cannot play the AH films in the film viewer but I think this is the whole film as requested.  Pretty sure the first and only time I saw you was when you dove on my wingman.  Please feel free to watch the film and prove me wrong.

As far as the double dar bar - totally agreed, it sucks.  But as discussed in game it was the only fight we had access to (the only dar bar we had access to).  I always go to the dar bar.  I am really not interested in getting a bomber and tryng to WF a town, I would rather log off than fly a buff, GV or sit in a gun.  That is not what I am in the game for.  Hell I can hardly even dive bomb, I miss the GV hangar 95% of the time that I try.  I am just not into that.

I thnk we both agree that the 'gang or be ganged' aspect of the game makes for terrible gameplay.  I logged off after shooting your Temp down, I think I even agreed with you on 200 that being a part of the horde bores me more than being horded and that was why I was logging.  We both share the opinion that 3 sides is simply not working anymore but HTC is not going down the 2 side route.  I actually would have loved to have changed sides and come help you but you know the last time I did that I was subjected to a torrent of abuse from your wingman, I think he is in the legal profession.  Think I want that again?

Ended up in the DA doing 2 on 2 stuff with some guys and had a blast.  You probably would have enjoyed that also, I think we are very similar in that respect.  One of your squad came into the DA and all of us instantly went to another area of the map to avoid him.  His attitude preceeded him.

I asked you why you always try to make my game sessions unpleasant.  Your response 'I enjoy it'.  Sir, you cannot be victim and perpetrator at the same time. I would actually prefer to avoid you in game as I do not enjoy the drama but, if you are the only dar bar in town I am going to be there.  Hopefully we can have fun without drama.  ~S~

Don't mean to interupt your flow or narrative in an argumentitive way, but just for balance you have once accused me of cheating with an 'impossible shot' (which on reviewing the film was only 375 yard snap shot).

In general - just good-willed advice here - perception is not necessarily reality. Probably better to let the flash of frustration / anger pass, reflect on improvements and then move along. It's what sports psychology suggests.

Nrshida,

If you read my second post in this thread you will see I stated that the intent of the post is to help flippz see the fight from the other viewpoint.  I am not posting from frustration or anger.

But you have on channel 200 on several occasions over your 'unfair treatment' from other players.

The subject of your thread is ethics and not air combat. If you hold a principle, like the one you claim in this thread that you don't care for the drama aspect of the game, then you aren't able to initiate or engage in that yourself without having a double standard. Otherwise we'd have to accept the situation that it's alright if you're the one doing it, but not if it's being done to you. Takes considerable strength of character and diligence to be bound by your own principles. Further, just because you hold a principle doesn't mean others do; so you can't enforce your principles on others either. So now you have more limitations than an opponent without principal and are relatively disadvantaged. So you have to be 'stronger' to balance that. Then there's the point about perception, one man's pick is the other man's clearing of a wingman. So now there are at least three sides of perception and the fence analogy is already insufficient because it only has two sides...

Tricky business, ethics. Probably better to put your energy into improving your flying instead  :)
