Data analysis request (Lusche, are you there?)
« on: August 05, 2018, 04:34:56 AM »
Can you please check the plane performance of this first week of madness of this month vs the plane performance in prior months?
I think the all-seeing dar favors the better planes, putting the lesser ones at more of a disadvantage than before. Can you please verify if there's any truth in that?

The problem is, just a few days of testing gives you a very small sample. Unless there are singular radical changes (like about everybody stopping to fly the pony), things like type of terrain being up or a single player having the run of his life for a week in his favourite plane will have too large of an impact.

"% of fighter kills" means all kills made by fighters.

With an experiment like you are currently experiencing, I'd like to see at least a full tour completed so that I could also check the scores for any significant statistical changes in gameplay behaviour.

Based on the fact that everyone can see you. I'll predict more hi alt BnZers and planes like the 190, 109, P51. Just so that people will escape the B-line hoard coming out to get you. That being said. It's just my hypothesis but I pretty much agree with what Lushce said. Not enough #s to really say yet.

Heck no.  Spit XVI and LA7.   That's what I would fly.

Those are both comparable to the 109 but they are easier to pick, just look at the K/D. More aggressive planes tend to have lower overall K/D's. The reason that the P51 is low is because tons of newbs fly it right when they start the game, it's easy pickens down low n slow when you don't have a clue what's going on.

Planes that can excelarate quickly typically have the best advantage

Lusch can you do the same for Tanks and %of bomber kills, %of fighter kills, %of attack kills, %of GV kills.

Same problem of small data sample size over a short time, so too much work at this point for little gain, I'm afraid.
But I will revisit these things at a later point  :old:

The 51's best advantage--being able to disengage with speed--has been pretty much nerfed due to the all-seeing radar, IMO.   I am not flying it nearly as much now because I need something that can fight in a crowd and regain E.  The P-51 is not that airplane.     Maybe the Dora would be a better fit for the current settings.  Hmmmm.....    :headscratch:

Thanks. What I was expecting would have been sufficiently significant to be visible, but it isn't there.

People will fly what they always fly. Change in plane selection will be very slow and gradual, if at all.
