Oh, you know that’s coming.  :x

Yep.  I'm surprised nothing happened after that Skywest dude jumped the fence and launched a CRJ into the parking lot.

Can hardly wait to see what the powers to be come up with to prevent this from EVER happening again.  :uhoh

A key ignition would be a start and a key box with a lock on it

If someone wants to steal one that won't stop them.

Then you introduce a whole set of unintended consequences that will do more harm than good.

A tire boot would be an equivalent deterrent for a lot less hassle, but someone will still have the key.   Who watches the watchmen?

Many mechanics are allowed to taxi aircraft from one spot to another. He probably knew just enough to start and taxi.

Apparently he plays Flight sims, probly Warthunder.

The AH community is a grounded stable group of people with no mental isdues so it cannot be one of us :)

Did he crash or did the F-15 following him shoot him down?  See video.  The F-15 is clearly visible.

He crashed.   There will be video of it eventually I’m sure.

The F-15s were performing a standard intercept here.   There’s a second one you don’t see.

He's not an AH pilot because there was no complaining over the ATC channel that the flight dynamics weren't realistic.

I've seen reports at least one of the F-15s exceeded mach. Is that usual in these type of intercepts?
