Proposal on how to apply future changes.
« on: August 18, 2018, 07:03:23 AM »
AH is not a democracy, it is game by HTC - but we play this game, it means the changes affect us.

What if we could vote on a change in a poll - in-game, so the subscribers vote on a change, for example:

You log in to MA, and there is a tab in options 'poll' for a future change, for example 'revert dar minimum to 200 ft',  it runs lets say for 2 weeks, if votes positive is minimum 65%, the change is applied.

Maybe this way a consensus could be achieved on something instead of 'playing bbs'.

If a change in the game occurs that you don't agree with you can vote with your wallet.

That's what majority of people did already.

Why so hostile to nudetx's proposal. I have seen this for a long time, someone makes a wish or proposal and they get ridiculed for their thoughts.  Why not give feedback instead of "lol". Of course you will say "lol' is feedback. It' immaturity, that's all.  In another Subject in the Forums, it talks about hostility in the game, well I see the same in the Forums. I have lived long enough to know that the reason people put other people down, it's to make them feel superior. I'm 70 years old. Maybe I was taught respect growing up. That's just me.

Well spoken, Shilo.  :salute

A poll is a polite way to ask about things like changes. However for a person who's as seldom online as I am, today's poll was a little confusing. How to choose from options I don't know about?

I definitely think polling inside the game is great. That's where the players are. Not on the boards. I think polling in game gives the actual players a chance to feel represented. It makes it feel like the game they are playing cares about the players opinions ragarding the playability.

The only downside about polls is that they are only limited to the specific question. For example on hitech's current poll about the Radar, I'd like an "other" category because I didn't fully like the new radar, but I feel like the old way should be adjusted, like making the radar harder to destroy for example.

Polls are great to understand what the players of the game are feeling. This helps with decision making at the top.

My "LOL!" was mostly in response for many other comments he has made on these boards. On top of that a little "search" would have brought up enough info to know that HTC may listen to their customers, they are only going to make changes that THEY believe the game needs, NOT what if voted on by the subscribers.

On top of that he starts his post out with "AH is not a democracy" but then says "vote on a change in a poll - in-game, so the subscribers vote on a change" which I think IS the definition of democracy. He's a funny shade..... err guy  :aok

I have not read all his post from the past. However, he is not the only one who receives wrath form other players for their ideas.
