Thrustmaster Hotas Warthog setup file
« on: August 20, 2018, 08:01:29 PM »
I am beginning to think I am too old to play AH 3. I have been unable to program my joystick and throttle so they work together and have most function working. I just read that using the target software enables AH 3 see both devices as one unit but I haven't been able to get it to work. If anyone out there has a setup for this already running I would really appreciate a copy or even pay for it. Thanks in advance for any assistance!

Unless you need macros that make more than one thing at the same time, you should be able to assign any function available to any controller and the controllers you have mapped will work together seamlessly.

I can think of a couple of issues, the foremost being that AH now automatically changes the controller mode by the vehicle. That means you'll have to map every controller to each of the four modes to make them work properly or simply uncheck the Autoselect option.

Another issue I've ran into is assigning a digital function to an analog controller or something like that. It causes the virtual pilot to suffer from a stiff neck but is easily fixed.

Thanks Bizman...

I'm going to get some sleep and try again to understand what you wrote. At this point I have no clue how to accomplish your suggestions. I am WAY below that pay grade I guess.

I'll try again in a few hours..

Thanks

Sleep tight!

Simple put, you don't need any extra software to make basic functions work in AH. That includes throttle, stick front-back and sideways, ailerons, rudder, hats for views and  a million or so buttons for triggers, clipboard, bomb bay doors, engines, zoom etc. using one or more controllers (I have two joysticks and a pedal set!)

You don't need the thrustmaster software. After you open AH controller setup just double click the button or hat you want to use and a menu will pop up to let you select the command you want to assign.

What FLS wrote , with the exception of macro's, then he either need thrusmaster software, or  macro-enabled keyboard
