Voss had a P-51, not a B-17.

His delusions would have been merely strange if he hadn't stolen actual money from other people in the flightsim community.
Everyone I know, goes away, in the end.

and who r um calling old
wait I might fit that category--is 60 old?
there is a simple test to tell if you are old or not,   move to the middle of the floor, lay down, now get up, without holding on to anything.

Is there a time limit?  :old:

Is there a time limit?  :old:
I started doing a cardio work out every morning at 6AM, I was 50 years old.  I'm now 70, the work out requires me to get on the floor for leg lifts and push up.  a lot of getting down and getting up while trying to follow this 20 something on the 30 minute work out video tape.  After my wife passed away a few years ago, I made sure that when I do the exercises in the morning my cell phone is right next to me on my mat, you know, just in case.  I was a NJ EMT on a volunteer first aid squad for 38 years and we used to receive almost daily calls for "Help I've fallen and I can't get up"  I decided then to do everything I could in my power  to avoid that situation.  The reality is that if you have fallen the time limit for getting up is until the end of your life.

74, not old yet.  I often find the mind is willing but the bellybutton is dragging.  Maybe get a low impact senior video. :lol

I just wanted to add one thing: the most entertaining aspect of the "voss" character is that HTC despised him so much that they would let any threads about how bad he was go on almost indefinitely. The HTC forums are generally run very well. The fact that they would let anyone and everyone disparage "Voss" or any of his aliases for pages and pages and pages of threads let's you know how bad HTC thought "Voss" really was for the community. As I didn't start playing 3d PC flight sims (as opposed to "Flight Simulator" on a Timex Sinclair 1000 or "Fighter Pilot" and "Tomahawk" on a Timex Sinclair 2068) until fall of 2000, I wouldn't know who "Voss" was or what he had done without all the fantastic threads on the HTC Aces High forums. Entertaining stuff for someone who wasn't directly impacted.

Voss, wow.

13th TAS still around?

Pre gooberhead Voss (Paul Hinds) was a co-founder with myself and Doom (3422 aka Michael Hobuss) and 2-3 others. Iceman and Cherubs iirc. This was prior to AH being anything but coad HT was starting to think about. Somewhere in the next two years (1995-6?) Doom and Voss lost their ever loving minds. I'm still unsure if Paul Hinds was the guy I knew and had his account stolen or the cloak of anonymity that lets the crazies be even more crazy (the Intardnet) kicked him over the edge like it did several people from back then. I know Doom gave him quite a bit of money. 15k is the figure I remember. Doom was an Army trained opthamologist iirc. His gooberness was at least as unpleasant as the absolute gall that Voss displayed along with KenJr and he who shall not be named.

Somehow I managed to stay safe and sane and an all around great guy through hanging out with these buffoons.  :rock  :airplane:
It helped that I flew /mov 4 and they stayed in Half Time. And that's all I've got to say about that.

Ah Tex!  I remember the good ol' 13TAS from AW (and early WB/AH).  Speed here --3453 GeNIE/2022 Delphi IIRC.  I remember the old HT arena as well.  Haven't been doing much flying in many years, though I still follow along the boards.

Heya Tex, Yup a few of us from TAS are still here. Toad hangs out n the boards but he is in the process of retiring and moving again so kinda busy lately. I monitor the O'club. Tried to get back into flying again but that didn't work out very well. To me the changes are closer to a "twitch" game now rather than the flying I remember from 04 and before. Perhaps I am just too old to perform anywhere near to the level I used to.
DEFINITION OF A VETERAN
A Veteran - whether active duty, retired, national guard or reserve - is someone who, at one point in their life, wrote a check made payable to "The United States of America", for an amount of "up to and including my life."

I was in the 13th TAS and moved to the Blue Knights when they folded up the tents ... I could listen to Toad tell stories all day long !
