6 flack bases and 163 base surrounding all factories. Why even have strats on this map?

(Was going to modify my post but that function seems to have disappeared, so...)
I will add that it's typically a seven sector flight to get to those strats. Why waste the time? And why take a dynamic element out of gameplay by setting it up this way?

I like this map ALOT.
Its different.
bustr did an amazing job with the terrain!
Having the strats all together in a circle is very challenging for a strat bomber with all the puffy ack try to knock your bombers out of the air.

CircleStratAck almost as bad as snailmans  one pass kill komet.

It creates a different type of game, not the same-ole same-ole.

Then when you Win The War,,,,,,
you can settle down in your favourite flak tower.

Me163 is only available from the left hand uncapturable field. Me163 field has always been within a sector or so of the HQ on maps. The 163 is simply a terrible threat in general to any lone bomber or single box in this game. Probably why Hitech raised the perk so high on it. And you probably sneak through more often than you get caught.

The top of the arena wall is 12,000ft. Just fly at 12,065ft down it to the strats since the strat complex in each country is on a 3,000ft plateau.

Just checked riftval and a strat raider this minute is happily whacking the knights strats unopposed.

So as usual, the Cloak of Boredom is in full effect to protect strat raiders.  Does the puffy from those ack fields actually do anything meaningful to a bomber at 30k, or is it still just there for ambience?

If you think you are having a 1v1 in the Main Arena, your SA has failed you.

I took ki67 at 26k (afk a lot, and fully prepared to bail when ak if someone upped ahead of me) to the strat complex and lost my lead buff to ack after my 1st pass (1st fuel leak, then fuel ignited).
And bustr, as long as 1 base near strats enables 163s (which I support, btw) it doesn't matter if the others do or do not, as all of those bases give 163s essentially the same range.

I know that sometimes (or usually, depending on who is on) strat runners go unopposed, or ineffectually opposed. That's the risk I used to run: checking the roster to see if there was a competent 163 pilot on, then upping for strats and hoping someone of the snailman ilk would not have logged in the hour or so took me to get to target.
But on Rift the combination of a circle of (eventual) death and a 163 that can get to where you took an hour to reach in less than five minutes is overkill in spades. Oh yeah, and some of the time you can't even see the target due to cloud cover to hit it. Why waste the time? Why even have the strats?

Think of the young men who actually did that job. They paid with their life.

The objective is just that. Getting there to deliver is your job. Good thing that people risking their real life did not think like you are right now.

Do you really want to give up just because you "think" you can't do it?

You can always build your dream map and see if hitech will allow it into the MA. I do have building rules I have to follow from HTC and my strats and 163 feilds are really not much differently placed than all the older terrains. So either you have an internet jones to try and ding me as a personal fixation for my terrain designs which is really creepy like play misty for me. Or you are too lazy to build your dream terrain and cut out with all this whining that seems magically to only focus on me. Which dude is really creepy out of a grown man constantly whining it at me since I'm married and like woman.
