Scheduling a Staged Mission CTD?

I might be missing the obvious.  I'm new to missions.
I was trying to start a custom arena and then schedule a staged mission. 
I'd get the arena stated.
Selected mission.
Loaded Mission.
I'd go to schedule and the game would crash.
Tried repeatedly.  Even if that is not the right steps, it is still rude to crash the game.  :cool:
