"Balck 10" was an Erla built 109 with the characteristic slab styled mottling on the fuselage in RLM 74,75,70, and 02 with a saw-tooth pattern between the RLM 74 and 75 on the wings. Over the standard camouflage colors RLM 70 was heavily applied around the canopy and a white paint was applied in large areas for winter use. IV/Jg 54 deployed to Uman from the Leningrad area to aid the encircled German troops in the Cherkassy-Korsun pocket, claiming 129 kills from January through March.
