Meetoo.
I can not even download the new patch.
First i get the message, that your version is out of date, and do you wish to download the update.
Then it starts to download, and it will never succeed.
So looks like weekend without AH.  :furious

With the issue many are having getting a complete download and install, 15% might be close. Not even mentioning those still running XP

The just can't play or even run any part of Aceshigh9.exe.

This means they can't run the "account management" tab from the splash screen because it does not come up.

Instead, you get a "is not a valid win32 application".

Yes, they are still being billed until they figure out another way to cancel their subscription.

If there are that many people running XP, it says a lot about the player base.

They can call Carrie very easily. I highly doubt it was HTC's intention to strand those few people who are running XP, and not allow them to cancel their sub if they wanted to. I am sure a fix will be released in the coming days.

There are at least 950 players who played this month, based on the ranks on the roster. I really doubt that 140+ of them suddenly could not play because the game wont run on XP any more. I really doubt if it were even 14 people.

Too my knowledge, you can still run the game using the PRE TEST version of DX11? That MAY BE all the same, meaning the drop of Win xp would be a mute issue

Write an email to Aces High support to cancel - if you can still run your email program on XP  :devil

Or better yet - take the cue to move into the next millenium and upgrade to a more current operating system.

I know that older people shy away from that...I tried to move my father (80 years) from Outlook Express to a current mail system - with the result that he isnīt writing emails anymore because he couldnīt deal with the change. I suspect a similiar issue here.

Well, technology moves along and you can only take compatibility with old tech so far without seriously cobbling progress. My grandmother (95) also doesnīt like cellphones and thinks they are the demise of civilization (and I am inclined to believe she is right in some regard  :D)
