This specific aricraft was factory painted in desert colors RLM 79 over RLM 78, with white tail band denoting MTO deployment and the yellow lower cowling for IFF purposes. While "Red K" is one of the most photographed 110s in Africa, the pilot's identity remains a mystery. 8th Squadron scored 35 of the 84 total aerial victories claimed by Zg 26 in 1941 and 1942.
