V-1 killer
« on: January 06, 2019, 08:28:51 AM »
Thanks to Lyric1 for finding some of the info for this skin.

In 1944 this Spitfire Mk XIV was the usual mount of the CO of 322 (Dutch) Squadron RAF, Major Keith Kuhlmann, who used it to shoot down two V-1s. As a South African his aircraft lacked the orange triangles that adorned most of his Dutch pilots' aircraft. On the evening of the 8th July 1944 it was being flown by Pilot Officer Rudy Burgwal on an anti-Diver patrol over southern England and in the space of only 40 minutes he shot down no less than five V-1s. Burgwal destroyed a total of nineteen V-1s before he was was shot down and killed over France on 12th August 1944.

Outstanding work!  :aok
There must also be a flyable computer available for Nefarious to do FSO. So he doesn't keep talking about it for eight and a half hours on Friday night!
